RJ45 cable for Ethernet connection
The Ethernet cable has RJ45 connectors on both ends. For this reason, Ethernet cables are sometimes designated as RJ45 cables. These cables are commonly used to connect computers to Ethernet networks. An RJ45 connector is similar to a six-pin RJ11 connector, but the 45 is slightly wider. Since each connector has eight pins, an RJ45 Ethernet cable will have eight wires of different colors. Crossover cables have a different wiring scheme at each end to support computer-to-computer connections.
